Greece is a country in southern Europe on the tip of the Balkan Peninsula. It is officially known as Hellenic Republic. Hellas is the historical name of Greece.

Greece borders Bulgaria, the Republic of Macedonia, and Albania to the north and Turkey to the east.

Greece has a long and rich history. It’s regarded as the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy.

If you’re looking to travel, may I recommend Greece? Scanning through some picture on the internet today, I was amazed at just how much there is to see. The ruins, the culture, the landscape…. everything! It is a beautiful country, which fits well in beautiful Europe.

For a foreigner the Greek real estate market can be mind-boggling experience and at first seems to be a very complicated purchasing process. Approaching the problem step by step shows that it is not that hopeless.

By law foreigners can own property in most areas of Greece. However, there are some restrictions on property purchase that apply in border areas (eastern Aegean, Dodecanese Islands, regions of northern Greece, Crete and Rhodes) for non-European Union citizens. In such cases, non-EU citizens must apply to the council of the local prefecture. Some real estate agents offer assistance with this procedure.

You heard of Greece and its beautiful country, rich with monumental events in history and of Greek mythology. You’ve heard about its wonderful beaches, mountain views, beautiful sunsets, and of the modern nightlife it now offers. Restaurants, hotels and bars have popped up to give Greece, not only an edge for tourist destination but also for people who may actually want to find jobs in Greece and enjoy the pleasures it bring.

It’s ironic. But Greece has several beaches that condone nudism, and yet it traditions are highly influenced by its religion.

This is not surprising. Greece culture is greatly diversified because if its location, at a crossroads between the East and West, as well as the numerous roles played by its people for several years.

Despite any bad publicity about its past, Greeks speak about the Greece culture with their heads held high. Each one of them believes that is in their culture that they find their identities.

Majority of the Greeks lived in the country. One will find a Greek house to be oddly shaped, though arrangement concepts seem to have some guidelines, but its distinct shape is mainly attributed to the addition of rooms or parts of the house, as the family gets to better their economic status.
